Visit the Best Little Zoo in the World
The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center is affectionately known as the Best Little Zoo in the World. The zoo is a refuge and rehabilitation center for orphaned or rescued animals and promotes a robust environmental education program. The 170 native animals who were either rescued or born there are kept in their natural setting under the forest canopy. Find the zoo about one hour away from Belize City on the Western highway.
